The Brief
Highkey needed engaging animated content for their low-carb, keto-friendly
cookie products competing in the crowded better-for-you snacking category.
The challenge: create thumb-stopping social animations that made healthy
cookies look indulgent and crave-worthy, not diet-restricted.
Creative Approach
I developed an animation strategy emphasizing product texture, ingredients,
and nutritional benefits through dynamic motion graphics. The approach
positioned Highkey as “guilt-free indulgence” rather than compromise snacking.
My Role – Art Direction & Animation
Working with client-provided product photography and custom-designed illustrations, I led creative execution:
Art Direction:
Concepted animated scenes showcasing cookies, ingredients, and nutritional
callouts
Developed visual approach emphasizing appetizing product details and low-carb
benefits
Designed animation storyboards and motion sequences
Determined pacing, transitions, and graphic treatments for social optimization
Animation Production:
Built animations using Adobe Animate with HTML5 export
Created kinetic product reveals, ingredient callouts, and benefit messaging
Designed text animations and graphic elements highlighting key differentiators
(low carb, keto-friendly, real ingredients)
Optimized file sizes and formats for social media deployment (Instagram,
Facebook, TikTok)
Delivered multiple format variations (vertical, square, horizontal)
Technical Execution:
Using Adobe Animate’s HTML5 capabilities allowed:
Lightweight file sizes optimized for fast social media loading
Scalable animations maintaining quality across devices
Platform-friendly formats compatible with social ad specification
Easy iteration and updates to ongoing content programs
