Philanthropy
This gallery is a collection of images demonstrating my philanthropic interests and work. The Aqua Independence Project was born out of college coursework that asked students to design a campaign to build awareness for the world water crisis. We chose to visit a small village in central Mexico to design a campaign to convince the residents that their water infrastructure was a service worth paying for. The year after our posters were displayed around the town, their water department posted their first profitable year since the system was installed.
In Peru, I spent a week roughing out a new kitchen by mixing concrete by hand and pouring a new level concrete floor, and shoring up some old concrete counter space. The kitchen was being built at a women’s shelter and was designed help teach women in need skills that they could use to enter the workforce. School children would also be allowed to use the space.
The Help Guinea-Bissau logo was a competition to design a brand identity for an organization that supports efforts in sustainable development, social development, and governance in western Africa.
